Fishing and Accommodations

 

Nootka Island Lodge offers comfortable rooms, twin and single. Dining is family style, and we will cook your catch if you so desire. We provide all fishing gear including rain gear and boots. You will be fishing for a minimum of 8 hours per day, fully guided.

 

Fishing Equipment

Time - Minimum 8 hours guided fishing per day 

Gear - All gear supplied, including rain gear and boots 

Catch Prep - Care of fish 

Boat - 16 ft. to 24 ft. boats with Yamaha engines 

 

Packing List  

 

When you come to visit the Nootka Island Lodge, there are some things that you will need to bring. Below is a list of items you won’t want to forget! 

• Polarized sunglasses            

• Sunblock

• Camera & Film

• Weather is changeable so bring clothes to layer for temperature changes throughout the day (including fleece clothing, hooded sweatshirt, light-weight long underwear, wool & cotton socks, shorts, t-shirts etc.)          

• Personal toiletries/medicines

• Alcohol/tobacco            

• Cash (gratuities)

• Headlamp or lightweight flashlight 

           
***Remember to travel light. - When traveling by float plane, baggage space is limited so keep baggage to 25 lbs (excluding alcohol) and avoid hard suitcases and bring only duffel bags if possible.
