Q: Where are you located?

•  A: We are located on Nootka Island in British Columbia about 25 miles west of Gold River. 

 

Q: What do your packages include? 

• A: Our all inclusive packages include fully guided fishing, rods, reels and tackle, lodging, meals and we’ll also fillet your catch. We provide insulated coolers with gel packs for transport. 

Q: What is not included in your packages? 

• A: The only thing not included in our packages is the floatplane flight, fishing license, wi-fi, alcohol and gratuities. 

 

Q: Is there cell phone coverage at the lodge? 

• A: No, however we have Wi-Fi Satellite. Fee is $20

Q: How many fish can we harvest? 

• A: Below is a list of fish species we catch. The limits can change through out the season.

  • Chinook (King)

  • Coho ( Silver)

  • Halibut

  • Lingcod

  • Rockfish (Yellow Eye)

Q: How many fish can I take home with me? 

• A: Most of our clients will take home a limit of fish. 

Q: How much does the flight cost? 

• A: The cost of your flight will vary depending on where you are traveling from. See Options >

Q: How much is a fishing license?

Q: Do you get Steelhead? 

• A: No, not in our area 

Q: When is the best time to go to Nootka Island? 

• A: The best time is the season - from June 15th thru September 15th  which coincides with the seasonal Pacific Salmon migratory return to the Pacific Coast. 

Q: Do you have a problem with the bears? 

• A: Not usually. We do have bears in our area, but usually if you see a bear, it’s going to be running from you. All of our guides are well versed in the wildlfie and how to handle any situation. 

Q: What about hunting? 

• A: We are not offering any forms of hunting at this time.
